The Fine Layer Application

A considered ritual for a flawless finish

Prepare

Begin with freshly washed, dried hands. Lightly buff the surface of each natural nail, gently push back the cuticles, then finish with an alcohol-based cleanser to remove any natural oils from the nail plate.

Select

Choose the Fine Layer nail that fits naturally from sidewall to sidewall. If you fall between two sizes, choose the slightly larger nail and gently file the sides for a seamless fit.

Apply

Apply a thin, even layer of your chosen nail adhesive to the natural nail and the underside of the press-on. A small amount is enough — it will spread as you press.

Press

Align at the cuticle, then press firmly from the base towards the tip. Hold each nail for ten to twenty seconds — or as directed by your adhesive — to let the bond set.

Finish

Gently check that the edges are seated, avoid prolonged contact with water for the first hour or two, and enjoy your Fine Layer finish.

For Longer Wear

Treat your nails as jewellery. Wear gloves for washing up or prolonged soaking, keep hands out of very hot water, and avoid picking at the edges. Your set will thank you for it.

Remove & Reuse

Never pull or force a nail off. Soak your hands in warm, soapy water with a drop of cuticle oil until the adhesive softens, then ease the nail gently away from the side.

Wipe the underside of each nail clean with an alcohol-based cleanser and let it dry completely. Stored flat in your Fine Layer box, your set is designed to be worn again with careful handling.

Little Fixes

Edges lifting

Moisture or oil was left on the nail — repeat the cleanse and reapply.

Between sizes

Choose the slightly larger nail and gently file the sides to fit.

Clean both surfaces before reapplying, rather than layering adhesive over residue.
